CHARLOTTE, N.C. , March 14, 2023 /PRNewswire/ -- Honeywell (NASDAQ: HON) today announced that Vimal Kapur, President and Chief Operating Officer, will succeed Darius Adamczyk as Chief Executive Officer on June 1, 2023. Adamczyk, who became Chief Operating Officer in 2016, Chief Executive Officer in 2017 and Chairman in 2018, will continue to serve as Executive Chairman of Honeywell.

Vimal Kapur will succeed Darius Adamczyk as @Honeywell﻿ CEO and Darius will become Executive Chairman effective June 1. Both Darius and Vimal will build on Honeywell’s outperformance of the market and our peers in their new leadership roles, while also shaping the future through the company’s latest innovations for customers and growing and developing the nearly 100,000 Honeywell employees around the globe.

Vimal, a 34-year Honeywell veteran, has run both our Performance Materials and Technologies and Building Technologies businesses, and most recently, as President and COO, led our sustainability and digitalization strategic initiatives and reinvented our operating system, Honeywell Accelerator. In Darius’ new role as Executive Chairman, he will be focused on supporting customer relationships, business development, enterprise strategic planning, shaping the portfolio, and global government relations.
